Seamstress

Seamstresses perform a variety of tasks to include but to limited to alterations, repairs, measuring, and providing exceptional customer service. We are looking for seamstresses that possess the ability to sew together fabrics to create disposable pillows. 
 
Your role will be responsible for:
  • Measuring and adjusting fabric to ensure accuracy.
  • Performing alterations, including hemming, taking in/letting out seams, cutting fabric, and mending.
  • Operating and maintaining industrial sewing machines and other equipment in good working order.
  • Constructing fabric items according to our specifications and provided patterns.
  • Maintaining an organized workspace and ensure all fabrics are correctly sewn together.
  • Achieving productivity goals and complete all tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Cleaning up work sites before the end of each shift
  • Complying with all rules and safety regulations 
  • Performing other day-to-day tasks given by supervisor/team leader

Required skills and qualifications
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Clear verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Preferred skills and qualifications
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience as a Seamstress or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of various sewing fabrics, styles, and techniques.
  • Experience with industrial sewing machines
  • Ability to multitask under pressure
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Proficiency with sewing machines and other sewing equipment.
